Black Friday · A public apology, fact-checked

We Lied to Everyone Who Bought Our Pan. Here Are All 9 Claims We Made, Fact-Checked. 8 Are True.

5 min readClaims checked: 9 · True: 8

If you saw our video and thought “okay, what's the catch?”, this is for you. We went back through every claim we made, one by one. Eight hold up. The one that doesn't just became your Black Friday deal.

We Lied to Everyone Who Bought Our Pan. Here Are *All 9 Claims We Made*, Fact-Checked. *8 Are True.*
The Siraat Hammered Pro: hand-hammered titanium, no coating anywhere.

You've heard “nonstick” before. And “safe.” And “built to last.” Then the coating scratched, the eggs started grabbing, and two years later you were back in the cookware aisle.

So we're not going to ask you to trust us. We're going to check our own homework, out loud, the way a skeptic would. Every claim from the video gets a verdict, including the parts we should have explained better.

Because what you're really after is simple: cooking for your family without wondering what's coming off the pan, without babysitting a coating, and without buying another pan in two years.

In a hurry? Eight claims check out. The one that didn't: we said we couldn't drop the price. Then Black Friday happened. See the Black Friday price →

“It’s naturally nonstick”

“It’s naturally nonstick”

With one condition we should have said louder.

The hand-hammered surface is thousands of tiny dimples. Food rests on the high points with a thin film of oil underneath, so there's far less surface for it to grab. That's why the eggs in the video slid. No coating does that work. The metal does.

Now the part we skipped. Some owners told us “everything sticks,” and they had a point: titanium isn't a coating, so you don't cook on it like one. A coated pan forgives bad technique. This one rewards good technique, and it takes about a minute to learn:

Step 1Medium heat, 2 to 3 minutes
Step 2Water drops bead up and glide
Step 3Thin layer of oil, then food

Then let it sear before you move it. It releases on its own once a crust forms. For eggs, turn the heat down to low first. Almost every “it sticks” story is a pan that wasn't preheated, or a pan on high heat. Less heat works better here.

“I followed your directions, made scrambled eggs and they came out of the pan perfectly.” Marilyn B., verified buyer

And independently tested.

Nothing is sprayed, baked or bonded onto the cooking surface. What you see is bare, hammered titanium, so there's nothing to scratch off and nothing to flake into dinner.

We didn't want you to take our word for it. Light Labs, an independent lab, tested the pan in October 2025: 30 substances, including PFAS and PTFE.

It's also made without lead, cadmium and heavy metals. The lab report is linked on the product page.

A sponge and warm water, or the dishwasher.

With no coating to protect, you don't have to baby it. Preheated the right way, most meals rinse off with warm water and a soft sponge in under a minute.

And yes, it goes in the dishwasher. Hand washing keeps the finish brightest the longest, but that's your call, not a rule.

“Unmatched searing power”

“Unmatched searing power”

This is where titanium shows off.

Coated pans aren't made for real heat, which is why so many steaks come out gray instead of brown. This pan takes a proper preheat and gives you a deep, even crust.

Steak, salmon skin, smash burgers, chicken thighs. The crispy part, the part everyone fights over, is where this pan earns its spot on your stove.

“Every stove, plus the oven”

“Every stove, plus the oven”

Every cooktop, and straight into the oven.

Sear on the stove, finish in the oven, serve from the pan. It works on gas, electric, ceramic and induction.

Wait, doesn't pure titanium fail on induction? It does. Which brings us to the claim we owe you the most honest answer on.

“Solid titanium”
Nonstick: TRUENo coating: TRUEEasy clean: TRUESear: TRUEEvery stove: TRUESolid titanium: TRUE*

“Solid titanium”

Where your food touches, yes. Here’s the whole build.

Some of you caught this in the comments, and you were right to ask. The Hammered Pro is three bonded layers, on purpose. The surface you cook on is a solid sheet of pure titanium. Underneath it:

Surface0.5 mm pure titanium
Core1 mm aluminum
Base0.6 mm stainless steel

Why not titanium all the way through? Because titanium on its own heats unevenly and doesn't work on induction. The aluminum core spreads heat edge to edge, the stainless base makes it work on induction, and both are fully clad beneath the titanium.

What's not in there: a coating. Anywhere. Your food only ever touches titanium.

“Safe with metal utensils”
Nonstick: TRUENo coating: TRUEEasy clean: TRUESear: TRUEEvery stove: TRUESolid titanium: TRUE*Metal-safe: TRUE

“Safe with metal utensils”

Go ahead, use the fork.

On a coated pan, a scratch means coating in your food. There's no coating here, so a metal spatula or whisk has nothing to strip away. Use whatever's in your drawer.

“I was hard on this pan on purpose, metal spatulas every day. It won.” Alex J., verified buyer

“It’ll last you a lifetime”

“It’ll last you a lifetime”

And we put it in writing: 75 years.

In the video we said “lifetime warranty.” On paper it's a 75-year warranty, which we figure covers you. Most coated pans are done in about two years. This one has nothing on it to wear out.

Buy it once. Hand it down.

That's eight claims, and all eight hold up. Which leaves the one that didn't.

“We can’t drop the price”

Our lie. And this Black Friday, it works in your favor.

We said the Hammered Pro wasn't going on sale. Then Black Friday came around, and we dropped it anyway.

In the video we said “up to $191 off.” Our Black Friday discount is bigger than that.

  • My food stuck. What am I doing wrong?

Almost always heat and oil, not the pan. Preheat on medium for 2 to 3 minutes until a drop of water beads and glides, add a thin layer of oil, then add food and let it sear before moving it. It releases on its own once a crust forms. For eggs, turn the heat down to low first.

  • Is it really solid titanium?

The cooking surface is a solid sheet of pure titanium, not a spray and not a coating. Underneath sits an aluminum core for even heat and a stainless steel base for induction, both fully clad beneath the titanium.

  • How is it different from cheap “titanium” pans?

Most of those are a nonstick or ceramic coating with titanium particles mixed in. Ours has no coating at all: you cook directly on titanium.

  • Does it work on induction?

Yes. A 0.6 mm stainless steel base makes it fully induction compatible, and it works on gas, electric and ceramic cooktops too.

  • Does it come with a lid?

The pan is sold on its own. A matching stainless steel lid is available separately.

  • Which size should I get?

Small (10") for everyday meals for two. Standard (11") is our best-seller and fits most meals. Large (12") for family meals, searing multiple steaks and batch cooking. Most people start with Standard.

  • Is it dishwasher-safe and metal-utensil safe?

Yes to both. Hand washing keeps the finish brightest the longest.

  • What if I don't love it?

Cook on it for 30 days. If it isn't the best pan you've owned, return it for a full refund. After that, your 75-year warranty covers it against manufacturing defects.

  • Chemical-free cooking?

100% free of toxins, PFAS, PTFE, and coatings. Nothing leaches into your food.
